A multi-award winning blended whisky, Sheep Dip’s heritage includes a stint as Harrods’s best-selling whisky in the 1980s!

Made using 16 different Highland, Island and Speyside single malts aged between 8 and 21 years, married together in specially selected first-fill oak casks, it is distinctively full-bodied in flavour.

Here are third generation Master Blender Richard Paterson’s tasting notes:

Rich golden colour with copper highlights. Soft, sensual floral aromas supported by an attractive array of complex fruit flavours: melon, pear and orange with a hint of almonds. On the palate, Sheep Dip expresses finesse and elegance followed by a majestic assertion of pure malty flavours drawn from the four distilling regions of Scotland.

Each area forges and makes its own inimitable contribution to this outstanding pure malt — the main accent being expressed from the Highlands and Speyside Valleys.

Curious about the name? Sheep Dip takes it’s title from the yesteryear of farming, when farmers would hide homemade whisky in tanks marked ‘SD’ to fool the taxman!
